Imperfect Christmas: Imperfect Year, Faithful God Study Guide

In this final message of 2019, Pastor Duane Roberts from our Boynton Beach campus shared a powerful message about the faithfulness of God which doesn’t depend on us, is experienced through the fulfillment of His promises, and is clearly seen through the changed lives of Christ-followers.

FOR THE NOTE TAKERS

Let’s recap some of the key talking points from Pastor Duane’s message this weekend:

God’s Faithfulness Doesn’t Depend on Us: How was your 2019? Did things go as planned? Regardless of the answer, it doesn’t change the faithfulness of God. He is always faithful, even when you’re not. Were there moments where you experienced His faithfulness, even in times where you were faithless? Have you taken the time to ponder the faithfulness of God this year? It’s not too late!

God’s Faithfulness Is Experienced Through the Promises He Fulfills: Have you seen God do the impossible this year? Did you experience a breakthrough, a miracle, a powerful revelation, or a vision? When you believe God is faithful to do the impossible and fulfill His promises, you can live free and walk in His promises!

God’s Faithfulness Is Seen Through Lives Changed by Jesus: Every time a sinner repents and puts their faith in Jesus, we get to see God’s faithfulness at work. Our God is mighty and faithful to save every single person who turns to Him. As Christ-followers, we are living monuments and walking, talking miracles; examples of His faithfulness. And we get to be part of His work to save people!

So, as we look forward to 2020, where do you feel God calling you? Where do you see Him leading you to make a difference and be used by Him to bring others into His family? Take time to ponder and pray about it!

Quote to Remember: God’s faithfulness is ultimately seen in sending forth the perfect gift, Jesus, the Savior of the world, to save and redeem us—to cover our imperfections.—Pastor Duane Roberts
